Thank you for using the APK Installer application (“the App”). This Privacy Policy describes how information is accessed and used by the App. By using our App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect and Use
Our main principle is user privacy.
The APK Installer app does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to our servers. All processing occurs entirely offline on your device.
The App accesses the following information locally on your device solely to provide its core functionality:
- File Information: When you grant permission, the App will scan your device’s storage to find application package files (
.apk). The information accessed includes the file name, size, modification date, app icon, version name, and version code. This information is only used to be displayed to you within the application list and is never sent off your device. - Storage Access Permission: The App requires broad storage access permission (
MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGEorREAD_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) for the sole purpose of finding and managing.apkfiles across your storage directories, in line with the app’s primary function.
Information Sharing
We do not share any information from your device with third parties.
The “Send/Share” feature within the app allows you to knowingly and voluntarily share .apk files you select with other applications. This process is entirely controlled by you. We do not track or store information about where or to whom you share these files.
App Permissions
The App requests several permissions to function correctly:
- All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Required on Android 11 and newer to be able to scan, display, and manage
.apkfiles across your device’s storage. - Read External Storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Required on older Android versions for the same function as above.
- Request Install Packages (REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES): Required for the app to initiate the installation process of
.apkpackages at your request.
Children’s Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
